For the Best – Collaborative Arts in Practice Workshop for Artists

Mark Storor is an award winning artist and director, working in the space between live art and theatre. Most of his work is devised, site specific and collaborative.

Mark will lead a workshop for artists exploring the practice and principles of his theatre making process which uses the themes of identity, personal histories & collective knowledge as starting points.

The workshop will
•draw on participants’ own stories and model aspects of the practice, which can be applied in many different contexts.
•encourage participants to embody the practice in order to understand it.
•explore cross-sectoral dialogue and methods of creating and maintaining intimate space and dialogue with participants, so that the work is authentic, challenging and genuinely collaborative.

This workshop is suitable for artists from any discipline working collaboratively in context with children and young people.

This workshop is presented by Helium, children’s arts and health company, in association with Tallaght Community Arts and is funded by an Arts Council Travel & Training Inbound Award.
