TALLAGHT Community Arts presents TALLAGHT FEAST, a celebratory school dinner grown by children with support from the local community in a specially-designed school/community garden at St Annes School, Fettercairn.
Over the last year, St Annes School, Fettercairn 4th (now 5th ) class have created the FEAST Garden. Working with organic gardener Phil Wheal the children have seeded, planted, and grown the ingredients needed for a celebratory public feast for the students, parents and community of Fettercairn. In the early part of the year the children worked with artist Marie Louise Fitzpatrick poet and illustrator to explore the structure of plants and creatively respond to them via arts work and poetry.
The wonderful organic vegetables that have grown will be cooked by the children with Jimmy Dunne Chef & Proprietor of The Interval Bistro, Tallaght to create a celebratory feast.
