REGULAR TCA EVENTS AT RUARED

TALLAGHT COMMUNITY ARTS is settling into its new home at RuaRed South Dublin Arts Centre, and we’d like to invite you to join some of our regular arts events, now taking place within the new arts centre.
OPEN ART STUDIO
Facilitated by artist and community arts facilitator Sharon Devlin, Open Art Studio enables people from the community to art, at your leisure, and in a range of media. People from all walks of life are welcome to attend, and we particularly welcome people with disabilities. Newcomers always welcome!
WHERE: RuaRed Art Workshop
WHEN: Every Wednesday, 7pm-9pm
ADMISSION: FREE
SOUNDS ENSEMBLE
Facilitated by Terry Clancy, Senior Sounds is an ensemble made up of adults who have never played an instrument before or those who are returning to play after an interval of many years. It is open to anyone 28 years and older. Instruments are provided rent-free for 6 months. Newcomers are welcome: the only requirement is enthusiasm and a commitment to attend on a regular basis!

VIRGINIA HOUSE CREATIVE WRITERS GROUP
Facilitated by writer and poet Maria Wallace, who won the Hennessy Award 2006, Virgina House Creative Writers Group meets weekly to develop writing, performance and critical appreciation skills. Open to amateur and professional writers, the group provides a support network for writers in Tallaght. Newcomers are very welcome, just come along!

PLATFORM 1: SOUTH DUBLIN WRITERS OPEN FORUM
PLATFORM 1 South Dublin Writers’ Open Forum is an exciting ’space’, which has been put together by a number of dedicated writers to develop existing work of individual writers while also engaging with artistic endeavours in South Dublin County. The Forum is open to all who feel they would like to, for example, cross-pollinate with other art forms and to generate and put into place ideas which will benefit the community in a creative, energetic, nurturing atmosphere.
